Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures aligned with local regulations and international standards (ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001).
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and prepare detailed reports for regulatory bodies and senior management.
- Manage the EHS training program, ensuring all employees receive mandatory safety certifications and awareness training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into core business operations.
- Monitor environmental compliance metrics and report on KPIs to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably within the manufacturing or construction sector.
- Professional designation such as CPH (Certified Professional in EHS) or CRSP is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial health and safety legislation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and safety reports.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence change across diverse teams.
