Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust EHS management system (ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001) aligned with UK and international standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and site inspections to identify, evaluate, and mitigate environmental and safety hazards.
- Lead the investigation of incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to local environmental regulations, waste management protocols, and health and safety legislation.
- Design and deliver engaging training programs to foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship among employees.
- Monitor KPIs related to safety performance and sustainability goals, reporting progress to the board of directors.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent professional certification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety management within a corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation, including the Environmental Protection Act and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
