Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling programs for onshore and offshore operations
- Conduct well planning and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software
- Analyze drilling data to troubleshoot operational issues and improve efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional project teams
- Develop cost-effective drilling strategies while maintaining HSE compliance
- Collaborate with geoscientists on reservoir characterization and well placement
- Stay current with emerging drilling technologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of drilling engineering experience in E&P operations
- Expertise in well planning software (Petrel, COMPASS, or equivalent)
- Proven track record in horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with deepwater drilling operations is highly desirable
