Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling programs for complex offshore wells
- Lead real-time drilling operations analysis and troubleshooting
- Develop cost-effective well trajectories and casing designs
- Collaborate with geoscientists on reservoir integration strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate technical workshops
- Manage drilling budgets and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with API and ISO drilling standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of offshore drilling engineering experience
- Proficiency in drilling simulation software (e.g., Petrel, COMPASS)
- Deepwater Gulf of Mexico project experience required
- Strong understanding of drilling fluid systems and hydraulics
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Proven track record in reducing drilling NPT by 20%+
- Valid Well Control certification (IWCF)
