Responsibilities
- Design and execute drilling programs for onshore/offshore wells in complex geological formations
- Optimize drilling parameters to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency
- Lead risk assessments and implement HSE protocols exceeding industry standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on reservoir simulation and well completions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical training sessions
- Analyze drilling data using advanced software to enhance performance metrics
- Manage contractor relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of progressive drilling engineering experience in oil & gas
- Proven expertise with drilling simulation software (e.g., Petrel, COMPASS)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent international certification
- Deep knowledge of directional drilling and well control technologies
- Strong analytical skills with experience in drilling optimization
- Excellent project management capabilities with PMP certification preferred
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments with rotating schedules
