Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling programs for both onshore and offshore assets to ensure cost-efficiency and operational safety.
- Lead pre-drilling engineering reviews, including risk assessments and wellbore stability analysis.
- Collaborate with field operations teams to troubleshoot complex drilling challenges in real-time.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company policies.
- Prepare detailed reports and technical documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering, preferably in the North American market.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing drilling operations from planning to completion.
- Strong knowledge of drilling fluids, well control, and geosteering technologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
