As a key member of our Digital Excellence team, you'll collaborate across federal departments to identify opportunities for digital modernization, lead cross-functional projects, and ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1). You'll be instrumental in shaping Canada's digital government roadmap while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and user-centric design.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end digital transformation projects for high-impact government services
- Develop and execute digital strategy roadmaps aligned with federal priorities
- Coordinate with IT, policy, and communications teams to ensure seamless implementation
- Conduct user research and stakeholder analysis to identify service improvement opportunities
- Oversee digital service delivery using agile methodologies and best practices
- Ensure compliance with Canadian Digital Service Standards and accessibility regulations
- Mentor junior team members and promote digital literacy across government
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in digital transformation or public sector technology
- Expertise in agile methodologies and service design principles
- Strong project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of Canadian government digital frameworks (e.g., Canada's Digital Government Strategy)
- Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex environments
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (PIPEDA)
- Graduate degree in Public Administration, Computer Science, or related field
