Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and oversee federal cybersecurity policy and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments and vulnerability analyses on critical government information systems.
- Lead inter-agency task forces to address emerging cyber threats and incident response coordination.
- Draft high-level briefing memos and technical policy recommendations for agency leadership.
- Provide expert guidance on the integration of zero-trust architecture across multi-departmental networks.
- Monitor compliance with FISMA and NIST standards, implementing corrective action plans as needed.
- Facilitate cross-sector collaboration between public entities and private sector stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Public Policy, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
- Deep technical knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable public policy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Active Top Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly preferred.
