Responsibilities
- Develop and refine comprehensive cybersecurity policies aligned with NIST frameworks and federal mandates.
- Lead cross-functional task forces to address emerging threats to national critical infrastructure.
- Provide expert technical advisory to executive leadership on cybersecurity risk management and mitigation.
- Collaborate with inter-agency stakeholders to standardize data protection protocols.
- Conduct regular impact assessments on proposed digital legislation and regulatory shifts.
- Oversee the implementation of zero-trust architecture initiatives across departmental branches.
- Draft high-level briefing documents for policy makers and congressional committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Public Policy, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or technical policy advisory.
- Deep understanding of FISMA, FedRAMP, and national security data regulations.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical vulnerabilities into actionable executive strategy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in government reporting.
- Current active security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC is highly desirable.
