Responsibilities
- Architecture & Strategy: Design and implement end-to-end security architectures, including firewalls, SIEM, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Threat Detection: Monitor security events 24/7, analyze logs, and respond to security incidents with high urgency.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses before attackers do.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Training: Mentor junior security analysts and conduct security awareness training for staff.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), scripting languages (Python, Bash), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and routing.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
