Responsibilities
- Provide advanced life support and continuous monitoring for critically ill patients with multi-system organ failure.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and therapists, to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Administer complex pharmacological interventions and manage the titration of potent vasoactive medications.
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including mechanical ventilators, CRRT machines, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
- Advocate for patient and family needs, ensuring clear communication regarding clinical status and treatment options.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based clinical quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-acuity ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications; CCRN certification is highly preferred.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to remain composed under high-pressure clinical scenarios.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically Epic.
