Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting and valve repairs.
- Lead multidisciplinary team rounds to ensure holistic patient care plans.
- Mentor junior residents and fellows in advanced surgical techniques.
- Drive clinical research initiatives to improve postoperative recovery metrics.
- Maintain high-level documentation and compliance with board-certified surgical standards.
- Collaborate with the cardiology team to optimize pre-operative patient selection.
- Participate in emergency on-call rotations for acute cardiac trauma.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical License eligible for practice in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a high-volume cardiovascular center.
- Proven proficiency in minimally invasive cardiac surgery techniques.
- Strong publication record in cardiovascular journals is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient empathy and education.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes surgical environment.
