Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide highly specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Administer complex medications, manage ventilators, and monitor hemodynamic stability.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and surgeons to develop personalized care plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in rapid response team protocols.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to families navigating high-stress medical situations.
- Document patient interventions, vital signs, and progress in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with precision.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Demonstrated ability to function calmly and effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a deep commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
- Proficiency with modern EHR platforms and high-acuity monitoring systems.
