Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end global corporate tax compliance and reporting lifecycle.
- Architect and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies to optimize the group's effective tax rate.
- Act as the primary liaison for HMRC and other international tax authorities, managing all audits and inquiries.
- Provide strategic tax advice on high-value M&A activities, cross-border transactions, and restructuring.
- Review and approve quarterly and annual tax provisions and disclosures under IFRS and local GAAP.
- Drive the digital transformation of tax functions by implementing advanced automation and reporting tools.
- Monitor global legislative developments, including BEPS 2.0, to ensure proactive business adaptation.
Qualifications
- CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of UK Corporate Tax and a robust understanding of international tax frameworks.
- Proven track record of success within a Big 4 firm or a large-scale multinational corporation.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities with a focus on risk mitigation and value creation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff and influence C-suite stakeholders.
- Proficiency in tax-specific software (e.g., OneSource, Alphatax) and advanced ERP systems.
