Responsibilities
- Advise on corporate governance, SEC filings, and international regulatory compliance
- Lead due diligence and transaction structuring for M&A and venture capital deals
- Develop policies for data privacy (GDPR/CCPA) and blockchain technology deployments
- Manage litigation strategy and external counsel relationships
- Create training programs for cross-functional teams on legal risk mitigation
- Oversee contract lifecycle management for SaaS partnerships
- Represent company in regulatory negotiations with FINRA/SEC
Qualifications
- JD from ABA-accredited law school with 7+ years of corporate law experience
- Admitted to NY State Bar with active membership
- Proven expertise in fintech regulatory frameworks (FinCEN, OCC, state money transmitter laws)
- Experience managing international transactions and cross-border data transfers
- Strong background in securities law and SEC reporting requirements
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders
