Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements including M&A and joint ventures.
- Provide expert counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Advise executive leadership on legal strategy for international market expansion.
- Manage outside counsel and oversee legal budgets to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Lead internal training sessions on corporate policies and ethical legal standards.
- Navigate intricate employment law matters and intellectual property disputes.
- Represent the organization in high-stakes negotiations and board-level meetings.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate law at a top-tier firm or in-house department.
- Proven track record of managing complex, high-value corporate transactions.
- Expertise in federal and state regulatory frameworks relevant to our business sectors.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and sound judgment.
