Responsibilities
- Lead M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships from due diligence to closing
- Develop and implement global compliance programs for SEC, FINRA, and international regulations
- Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory risk mitigation
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and vendor arrangements
- Manage litigation strategy and external counsel relationships
- Mentor junior legal professionals and drive innovation in legal operations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree with active NY State Bar admission
- 8+ years of corporate law experience at top-tier law firms or in-house legal departments
- Deep expertise in fintech, blockchain, or financial services regulations
- Proven track record managing cross-border transactions and international compliance
- Exceptional negotiation skills with ability to balance legal precision and business objectives
- Admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions preferred
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) a plus
