Responsibilities
- Lead M&A transactions due diligence, negotiation, and integration for corporate clients
- Develop and implement global compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions
- Advise on corporate governance, securities regulations, and risk mitigation strategies
- Manage litigation portfolios and coordinate with external counsel for optimal outcomes
- Train junior attorneys on legal research, contract drafting, and ethical practices
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align legal strategy with business objectives
- Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on client operations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA-accredited law school with top 20% academic standing
- 10+ years of corporate law experience with Big Law or in-house counsel roles
- Illinois State Bar membership in good standing with active license
- Proven expertise in M&A transactions and SEC regulatory compliance
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) preferred
- Exceptional negotiation skills with documented multi-million dollar deal closures
- Experience managing legal teams of 5+ professionals
- Proficiency in legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis)
