The Role: You'll serve as primary legal counsel for our fintech clients, advising on securities regulations, mergers & acquisitions, and intellectual property protection. This hybrid role offers 3 days in-office at our Manhattan headquarters with flexible remote options.
Responsibilities
- Advise fintech clients on SEC compliance and regulatory filings
- Lead M&A negotiations and due diligence processes
- Develop corporate governance frameworks for emerging tech companies
- Manage intellectual property portfolios and patent prosecution
- Lead data privacy and cybersecurity compliance initiatives
- Train corporate clients on evolving regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product launches
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from ABA-accredited law school
- 8+ years of corporate law experience with fintech focus
- New York State Bar admission (required)
- Proven M&A transaction experience ($50M+ deals)
- SEC regulatory compliance expertise
- Advanced knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA)
- Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills
- Ability to manage complex regulatory investigations
