In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage complex stakeholder relationships and lead diverse teams to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage the full project lifecycle from initial planning and design coordination through to final handover and commissioning.
- Financial Control: Develop comprehensive project budgets and monitor expenditure closely to ensure profitability and cost-efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate on-site teams and subcontractors to foster a culture of safety and high performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce rigorous Health and Safety protocols (CSCS compliance) to ensure a zero-accident environment.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in construction project management, preferably within the UK commercial sector.
- Certifications: Proven CSCS Gold Card status and PRINCE2 or PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK building regulations (Building Control) and planning permissions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
