Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the project team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
- Financial Control: Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow, ensuring profitability while delivering high-quality results.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict Health & Safety standards (COSHH, PPE, site safety regulations) to maintain a zero-accident record.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, investors, and regulatory bodies, providing regular progress reports and presentations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction work meets or exceeds British Standards and client specifications.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize the use of materials, labor, and machinery to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Proven RICS or CIOB qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a strong portfolio of completed projects in London.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction management systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK building regulations (Building Regulations 2010), planning permissions, and planning law.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving high performance.
