Responsibilities
- Lead and direct on-site construction teams to ensure projects meet timeline and budgetary goals.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors, stakeholders, and clients to facilitate seamless communication.
- Enforce rigorous safety protocols and ensure full compliance with OSHA standards and site regulations.
- Review architectural drawings and specifications to anticipate potential site challenges.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports, budget forecasts, and project status updates for executive leadership.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, negotiating contracts to optimize project costs.
- Implement lean construction practices to minimize waste and maximize site efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction management.
- Proven track record of managing projects exceeding $20M in total contract value.
- Expertise in construction scheduling software, such as Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project.
- In-depth knowledge of local Austin building codes and permitting processes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage high-pressure environments.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
