Responsibilities
- Investigate and settle complex property and casualty insurance claims with precision.
- Analyze coverage, liability, and damages to determine the appropriate settlement value.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with policyholders, agents, and legal counsel.
- Conduct field inspections and document findings using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Ensure full compliance with state insurance regulations and internal company policies.
- Mentor junior adjusters and provide guidance on difficult coverage scenarios.
- Prepare detailed narrative reports and litigation summaries for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in P&C claims adjusting (Commercial Lines experience preferred).
- Current Adjuster License in the state of Connecticut (or ability to obtain reciprocal licenses).
- Proficiency with Xactimate or similar estimation software platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex settlements and handle adversarial situations with tact.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
