You will play a pivotal role in managing complex property and casualty claims, ensuring equitable settlements while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze complex property and casualty insurance claims to determine coverage and liability.
- Conduct thorough site inspections, interview claimants, and gather pertinent evidence to support claim decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation to justify claim settlements and denials.
- Negotiate fair settlements with policyholders, legal counsel, and third-party representatives.
- Monitor and manage assigned caseloads to ensure compliance with state regulations and company SLAs.
- Collaborate with internal legal, underwriting, and risk management departments.
- Provide exceptional support and clear communication to policyholders throughout the claims process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in property and casualty claims adjusting.
- Current state adjuster licensing (CT preferred; multi-state licensure a plus).
- Deep understanding of insurance policy contracts, coverage analysis, and tort law.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume caseloads with strict attention to detail.
- Superior negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with modern claims management software and MS Office Suite.
