Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of insurance carrier liability for complex property and casualty claims.
- Maintain active communication with policyholders, agents, and legal counsel to provide timely updates and resolve disputes efficiently.
- Perform comprehensive on-site inspections and evaluate damage estimates against policy coverage and industry standards.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and third-party representatives while adhering to strict regulatory compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and litigation support materials for internal legal review.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to identify loss trends and improve future risk assessment accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in P&C claims adjusting, preferably in a senior or specialized capacity.
- Active Multi-State Adjuster License is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard claims management software (e.g., Xactimate, Guidewire).
- Strong knowledge of insurance law, policy interpretation, and litigation procedures.
- Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume caseloads with meticulous attention to detail.
