Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-complexity caseload of property and casualty claims from inception to final settlement.
  • Conduct thorough field investigations, document evidence, and evaluate policy coverage accurately.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters in compliance with state regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal legal counsel and underwriters to mitigate risk and identify subrogation opportunities.
  • Maintain meticulous claim files in our cloud-based enterprise management system to ensure audit readiness.
  • Provide empathetic and professional communication to policyholders throughout the entire claims lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to the refinement of internal claims handling protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Active Property & Casualty Adjuster License in the state of Connecticut (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-line claims handling, with a focus on high-value property losses.
  • Expertise in industry-standard estimation software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility).
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex settlements while maintaining high customer satisfaction scores.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
  • Professional designation such as AIC, ARM, or CPCU preferred.
