Responsibilities
- Manage a high-complexity caseload of property and casualty claims from inception to final settlement.
- Conduct thorough field investigations, document evidence, and evaluate policy coverage accurately.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters in compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with internal legal counsel and underwriters to mitigate risk and identify subrogation opportunities.
- Maintain meticulous claim files in our cloud-based enterprise management system to ensure audit readiness.
- Provide empathetic and professional communication to policyholders throughout the entire claims lifecycle.
- Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to the refinement of internal claims handling protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Active Property & Casualty Adjuster License in the state of Connecticut (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-line claims handling, with a focus on high-value property losses.
- Expertise in industry-standard estimation software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility).
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex settlements while maintaining high customer satisfaction scores.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
- Professional designation such as AIC, ARM, or CPCU preferred.
