Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight for large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and stormwater management systems
- Develop comprehensive engineering plans using Auto Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS mapping tools
- Coordinate with municipal agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance
- Conduct feasibility studies and lifecycle cost analyses for infrastructure modernization projects
- Mentor junior engineers and implement quality control protocols for all deliverables
- Integrate sustainable design practices including permeable pavements and green stormwater infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 8+ years of infrastructure project experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Expert proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS)
- Proven track record managing DOT and municipal infrastructure projects over $50M
- Familiarity with TxDOT standards and FEMA floodplain regulations
- Certification in LEED or Envision sustainable infrastructure preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to optimize complex engineering systems
