Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects (transportation, water resources, structural systems)
- Perform advanced hydraulic modeling and hydrological analysis for flood mitigation systems
- Oversee construction documentation, quality control, and compliance with TxDOT/FHWA standards
- Mentor junior engineers while implementing BIM/CIM workflows for project optimization
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical analysis for foundation design
- Develop sustainable infrastructure solutions integrating green infrastructure principles
- Manage client relationships and regulatory agency coordination (TCEQ, FEMA, City of Austin)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years progressive experience in municipal infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain reciprocity
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and GIS/GPS technologies
- Proven track record of managing $5M+ infrastructure projects
- Deep knowledge of TxDOT standards, FEMA flood mapping, and LEED certification
- Strong analytical skills with experience in finite element analysis and structural modeling
