Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of complex transportation systems, including highways, bridges, and transit corridors
- Oversee stormwater management and hydraulic infrastructure projects ensuring regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with municipal agencies for permitting, zoning approvals, and project documentation
- Utilize BIM/CAD tools (Civil 3D, AutoCAD) for precision modeling and construction documentation
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for multi-phase infrastructure programs
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews of technical deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in public infrastructure and transportation design
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, SWMM) and geotechnical analysis
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $10M in capital value
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS platforms
- Familiarity with TxDOT and City of Austin design standards and permitting processes
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team development experience
