Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including roadways, drainage, and water distribution systems.
- Manage project lifecycles from preliminary site investigations to final construction documentation.
- Coordinate with municipal agencies, stakeholders, and multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and staff, fostering a culture of technical rigor and professional development.
- Perform site visits and construction administration to ensure projects are built per specifications and quality standards.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, cost estimates, and permit application packages.
- Implement sustainable design practices and innovative material technologies into infrastructure planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- 6+ years of progressive experience in civil site development or municipal engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and stormwater modeling software.
- Deep understanding of local Austin/Travis County municipal codes and environmental regulations.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of meeting strict budgetary and timeline constraints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead client meetings.
