Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including site development, drainage, utilities, roadways, and grading plans.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and successful execution.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
- Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, GIS).
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to civil engineering projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
