Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of complex water resource, drainage, and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Perform advanced hydrological and hydraulic (H&H) modeling using industry-standard software packages.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, construction plans, project specifications, and cost estimates.
- Liaise with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to secure environmental and construction permits.
- Provide technical mentorship, QA/QC oversight, and professional guidance to junior and mid-level engineering staff.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure successful, on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree in Water Resources is highly preferred.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months.
- 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, with a strong focus on hydrology and hydraulics.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and GIS applications.
- Deep understanding of Texas regulatory guidelines, municipal design criteria, and drainage standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-relationship management skills.
