Responsibilities
- Lead Design & Analysis: Oversee the planning and design of heavy civil infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems, ensuring adherence to local and national codes (CBC/IBC).
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources from conception through to final inspection and closeout.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs and construction practices meet strict safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with architects, urban planners, and government officials to translate client visions into feasible engineering solutions.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, construction drawings, and specifications using advanced CAD and BIM software.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in civil design or construction management.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar BIM platforms.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of geotechnical analysis, hydraulic engineering, and structural load calculations.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
