Responsibilities
- Lead Design & Analysis: Direct the technical design and structural analysis of commercial and residential complexes, ensuring compliance with all local and federal codes.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources from the conceptual phase through to final inspection and handover.
- Site Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and ensure workmanship meets Apex’s high standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between clients, architects, contractors, and government agencies to facilitate seamless communication.
- Sustainability Advocacy: Integrate green building practices and sustainable materials into project designs to minimize environmental impact.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety awareness within the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and construction management.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering principles, and hydraulic systems.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, and Adobe Creative Suite for documentation.
