Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and planning of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring strict compliance with blueprints, local building codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough site surveys, feasibility studies, and topographical analyses to inform project designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, landscape designers, and project managers, to integrate cohesive engineering solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules, presenting them to stakeholders with clarity and precision.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and mentorship of junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in New York State is strongly required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
