Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and permitting of complex land development and infrastructure projects.
- Develop detailed grading, utility, and stormwater management plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Coordinate with municipal agencies, utility districts, and clients to secure project approvals and permits.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to ensure compliance with local drainage regulations.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables from initial feasibility to final construction.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and associate civil engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months.
- Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive experience in civil land development design.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and StormCAD.
- Strong understanding of local Houston-area design standards and permitting processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing presentations and technical reports.
