Responsibilities
- Lead the design and production of complex civil engineering plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layouts.
- Direct and mentor a dedicated team of design engineers, EITs, and CAD technicians to ensure project delivery is on time and within scope.
- Serve as the primary client contact, managing communication from initial project kickoff through construction completion.
- Navigate municipal permitting and regulatory approval processes across various local and state entities.
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses using industry-standard software to design resilient stormwater systems.
- Manage project financials, including proposal preparation, scoping, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months.
- Minimum of 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in civil site design and land development.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/hydraulics modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD).
- Strong understanding of Houston-area drainage regulations and municipal permitting procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven track record of managing client relationships.
