Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and management of large-scale land development projects, including site grading, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.
  • Provide expert oversight on the preparation of construction documents, ensuring 100% compliance with municipal codes and environmental regulations.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for high-profile clients, managing expectations and delivering projects on time and under budget.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical mastery.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies (City of Houston, Harris County, etc.) to secure all necessary permits and approvals.
  • Utilize advanced modeling software to conduct complex hydrological and hydraulic analyses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months).
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in land development or site civil engineering.
  • Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
