Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and due diligence research.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, architects, and contractors.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Present project designs and findings to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is required.
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, specifically in land development.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential; experience with StormCAD, HEC-RAS, or similar software preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including client interaction and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, grading, and utility design principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
