Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water management systems
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders (DOT, municipalities, contractors)
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analysis for complex civil projects
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of construction documents
- Ensure compliance with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and federal regulations
- Implement sustainable design practices and innovative construction methodologies
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in transportation or municipal infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM modeling
- Proven track record of managing projects exceeding $10M
- Familiarity with TxDOT design standards and permitting processes
- Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring engineering teams
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainable design credentials
