Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex civil engineering projects including site grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure.
- Manage project lifecycles from preliminary feasibility studies through to final construction administration.
- Perform technical reviews of engineering plans, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, environmental consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on complex design challenges.
- Oversee permit acquisition processes and coordinate with public works departments.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure construction alignment with design documents and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Colorado or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in civil site design.
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, and HEC-RAS modeling software.
- Strong working knowledge of local land development codes and zoning ordinances.
- Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and under budget.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client-facing presentations and report writing.
