Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and stormwater management systems
- Perform advanced structural calculations using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, SAP2000)
- Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring compliance with TxDOT and FEMA regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental specialists)
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure challenges
- Prepare detailed construction documents and specifications
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Expertise in transportation or water resources engineering
- Proficiency with BIM/CIM modeling and construction management software
- Demonstrated project management experience with budgets exceeding $5M
- Strong understanding of Texas engineering codes and permitting processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Certification in LEED or similar sustainability program preferred
