Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex civil engineering projects including highways, bridges, and municipal infrastructure
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and compliance reviews with local/state regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Develop sustainable solutions incorporating green infrastructure and resilient design principles
- Client relationship management and stakeholder communication throughout project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and engineering analysis software
- Proven track record managing projects >$10M with complex permitting requirements
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT, FEMA, and local municipal codes
- LEED AP or similar sustainability certification a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
