Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from initial feasibility studies to final construction and closeout.
- Design & Analysis: Prepare detailed civil drawings, site plans, and grading plans using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Site Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and safety standards on construction sites.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, government agencies, and clients to resolve technical issues.
- Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, manage change orders, and provide accurate cost estimates for materials and labor.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and infrastructure development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MS Project.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
