Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end civil engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Technical Design: Create detailed structural plans, calculations, and technical drawings using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Site Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction quality, safety compliance, and adherence to blueprints.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and construction practices meet local, state, and federal building codes and environmental regulations.
- Client Liaison: Present project updates to clients and stakeholders, acting as the primary technical point of contact.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, and municipal planners to resolve technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the New York metropolitan area.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MS Project.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering problems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
