Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and delivery of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with ASCE standards and local building codes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental scientists, contractors) for seamless project execution
- Develop innovative solutions for geotechnical challenges and sustainable construction methodologies
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using industry-leading software
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new developments
- Present technical proposals to municipal authorities and key stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS mapping software
- Proven track record managing projects over $10M with zero safety incidents
- Strong knowledge of local permitting processes and ADA compliance requirements
- LEED AP certification or demonstrated sustainable design experience
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts clearly
