Responsibilities
- Design and oversee complex civil engineering projects including drainage, grading, and utility systems.
- Collaborate with municipal authorities to ensure compliance with zoning, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Manage project lifecycles from preliminary concept design through final construction documentation.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians to maintain high design standards.
- Perform site assessments and feasibility studies to mitigate environmental risks.
- Review engineering blueprints and technical reports for accuracy and constructability.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license valid in the State of Texas.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in civil site design and infrastructure development.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS modeling.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar engineering projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Thorough understanding of local building codes and permitting processes in Houston.
