Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of commercial and residential structural systems, including foundations, framing, and load-bearing elements.
- Conduct thorough site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and feasibility studies to ensure project viability.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery on schedule and within scope.
- Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and regulatory bodies to navigate permitting processes and code compliance.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation using industry-standard software.
- Perform structural calculations and load analysis to guarantee safety and performance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in structural or civil engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar BIM software.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
