Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including site development, drainage, utilities, and transportation infrastructure.
- Perform complex engineering calculations, analyses, and prepare detailed design documents, plans, and specifications.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful project delivery on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Review and approve construction submittals and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency, sustainability, and constructability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, or other relevant engineering software.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from initial concept through final construction.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to civil engineering projects.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and build strong client relationships.
