Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from conceptual design and site analysis to construction supervision and final delivery.
- Design & Compliance: Develop detailed engineering plans, including site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility systems while ensuring strict adherence to local building codes and safety regulations.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, presenting technical concepts clearly and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough geotechnical investigations and structural analysis to ensure project integrity and environmental sustainability.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with architects, surveyors, and construction managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and timelines, and monitor project expenditures to ensure profitability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, preferably in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex engineering challenges.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of California state and local construction regulations, environmental laws, and zoning requirements.
